Health Check In

Hey hey! So I’ve been pretty stressed and depressed lately, but I’ve not let that derail me from eating well. I’ve also started exercising again.

I think this has helped me get out of my funk… Life has been odd and I’m a sensitive person haha

I know I’m not doing it perfect, but I’m trying to be more balanced.

I’ve cut back on coffee (I drink it black).

I cut out sugar, dairy, most meat, and bread. I eat a lot of yams, eggs, and veggies. My body is pretty happy haha I drink a lot of peppermint tea, hot water and lemon, and just plain old water. On occasion some almond milk. I like to treat myself to bubbly waters, kombucha, and cold pressed juices 🙂

I do some gentle yoga, band work, and walk/ play ball with my dog. I eat meals based on the amount of exercise too. On the weekend I have a treat and I don’t feel sick after now because I’m not over indulging.

Life in general has improved. My clothes fit better and people are seeing a difference. Which is neat because I haven weighed myself in months… I’m gauging it simply by how I feel and how my clothes fit and not getting in a trap of “what does the scale say????” I get discouraged quickly that way.

Anyways I’m trying to take control of my life and it’s working. I read things that feed my inner man and I feed my physical man sunshine and raw veggies.

My whole self is improving 🙂 It really is a mind over matter battle and you have to take it one day at a time. I’ve done this before and I know I can do it again… and maintain. It’s important to me to get healthy and stay healthy.
