I’ve been looking for a second job and it’s been a little..scary haha. We know how long it took to get the one I have now so I was worried. I’ve been applying like crazy and either getting flat out rejections or hearing nothing back.
I applied to Target and got an email saying they had nothing to offer me so I was bummed, but moved along. Well I got a call about a week or so later and they were telling me they had a temporary position open. I said I would think about it and a two weeks later they called again and said there were two permanent openings as well as the temp. I was then invited to come interview for the ones I wanted… One of them being a beauty section attendant. HOLY COW, YES!! THAT IS MY JAM!!!
I went in to interview today and they hired me on the spot! GOD IS SO GOOD! I am waiting on the background check – I’ll pass- But I’m in starting in June!
I’m so excited! I get to be in my favorite section and help people with something I actually know about!
Target has a pretty dang good selection so this is gonna be great for experiments!
I have an impulse order of ColourPop on the way….yeah… shopping therapy from the other day. I’m excited to check it out- two of the pieces are from their summer Birthday line.
So my grocery shopping routine has changed now that I am making less money than I used to. I go to the 99 Cent store first, Trader Joe’s second, and then Safeway or where ever…I’ll probably start checking Grocery Outlet soon too.
The 99 Cent Store has some awesome finds…you just have to keep checking. My favorite find so far has been a big bag of organic US grown Romaine lettuce! UGH! IT MAKES ME SO HAPPY! It was FRESH and stayed a long time – the bag had three stalks and it took time to eat up. The sell by dates my be close, but that doesn’t mean the product is bad. They seem to always have good carrots too. I’ve also picked up a big bag of fresh mint, a big box of sweet strawberries, and some celery. I’m so impressed.
I don’t know about y’all, but I’m so here for eating healthy and not paying through the nose.
I also tried a new recipe! Broccoli, Cheddar, Quinoa Cups!
They’re easy, tasty, and portable! I saw the recipe on Facebook and couldn’t resist. The original calls for mini muffin trays, but I don’t have one so instead of “bites” I made “cups”.
Mine seemed a tad under seasoned, but that could be from my lack of onion powder…I grabbed a second garlic powder when I meant to buy onion! I felt silly. Also! I buy my spices at the 99 Cent Store!
